JAMES WHITELAW
(He's far better looking than this!)
James Whitelaw was born in 1968 in Zimbabwe
(then Rhodesia). He moved to South Africa in the
80s and after a short spell in George moved to
Cape Town to study Land Surveying. After working
for six years as a land surveyor James changed
tack and became a freelance graphic designer
and illustrator.
Caricatures and cartoons soon became his area of
expertise and he has many happy clients all over
South Africa whose caricatures hang on their wall.
James has drawn caricatures for birthdays,
weddings, anniversaries, farewells – you name it!
James has had several editorial cartoons published
in the E P Herald and the Daily Dispatch.
His illustrations and cartoons have been widely
published in education textbooks throughout
southern Africa.
James works quickly and accurately with great
attention to detail.
