CARMEN ZIERVOGEL
'I grew up in a small town in the Free State
(where I had ample time to discover drawing),
moved to Cape Town as a teen, and studied art
at the Michaelis School of Fine Art. After my
degree, I travelled extensively for two years
in Europe and the Far East, and upon my return,
have started teaching illustration part time to
the 2nd and 3rd year graphic design students at
Ruth Prowse School of Art. I am also currently
freelancing as an illustrator in Cape Town,
doing a variety of work, including storyboards,
exhibitions, and editorial illustrations for
Magazines such as Fairlady and Oprah.'
