Born and raised in Pretoria , I went to Art Ballet and
Music school and majored in painting and design.
Amazingly I was an A student for art in matric.
I then studied art at Tukkies for three weeks and
changed to technicon for a year, again I suddenly
changed “tac” (its an Aries thing …) and did hairdressing
and, yes, qualified ! After working at random places,
I finally settled down, got married and had two girls,
now teens (scary – and possibly where I picked up
the word “random”!  ) .

After my divorce and supsequential moving all around
the country, the itch to carry on being creative fiercely
returned and I began doing illustrations for school
books whilst recently also starting up Eish Studio
(greeting cards and postcards) which has yet to launch.
Seems you need money for everything LOL …

I have done work for Maskew Miller Longman, Nasau,
Future–Pre press, to name a few. I have also done
commissions for private clients such as embassies etc.
 I sometimes work with two other artists, when
deadlines are tight and “boy” have we worked
under pressure! Often doing whole books in a week,
ie 40- 50 artworks  (We know the publishers
sometimes leave things a bit late … !LOL).

I currently work in Photoshop doing most of my work
in this medium, which I find clients enjoy as I can also
send them the finished product via email or on disc and
no need to scan and clean up. My clients also know that
they are getting a finished product almost right from
the start and I almost never have returns .

Recently I just completed a storyboard for a new advert.
A new concept for me, but it went down very well and
my clients got the ad for a very big client!

I'm now recently remarried to a Cameraman who works
for Mnet on a popular soapy, and live in Johannesburg
with him (obviously) my two daughters , four dogs and
a bearded dragon !

 I love JHB as I finally found the creative hub and the
place where I belong!

Well that’s me and what I do!  “ The struggling artist
