BHEKANI THWALA
Bhekani Thwala was born on 16th November 1981
at Alexandra Clinic. He started drawing at 11
years old and is self taught.
He writes "I was inspired by our own
South African cartoonist, Jonathan "Zapiro"
Shapiro whom I got to meet recently in London.
Thus far I have managed to steal a spot at one
of the best-selling newspapers, Mail and Guardian,
for their AIDS day supplement.
I am currrently unemployed but have volunteered
my stuff for my community newspaper Alex News
which comes out every fortnight".
